Bury Flowers

200 petals with character in random order; all character comes from 65 names of those who have been accused under #metoo in Taiwan summer 2023.

The work responds to the dilemma of #metoo movement, raising awareness of sexual harassment/assault and how common it is while not actually naming the “suspect” until proven guilty. Its title refers to Daiyu burying the flowers (黛玉葬花) from the novel Dream of the Red Chamber (紅樓夢), where fallen petals remind Daiyu of her fate so she does it to cherish them and herself as well.

It was showed in I Will Always Love You” (La MaMa Galleria, New York, United States), and I wish them joy and happiness, and love.
