Inspired by Sherrie Levine’s Large Check: 1 (1987), the work continues her approach, mixing traditional modernist painting motifs (grids, monochrome) with elements it eschewed (shadow, fabric, pastel colors, focus shifting). The “content” renders a lyrical sense of farewell.
